Editing Payment, Licenses, Publishing Model Icons and Texts

In this guide you will learn how to edit the payment, licensing and publishing model information shown to your researchers when they hover over the icon of your choosing in your Public Journal Search Page. This includes uploading or changing the icons as well as the description/ hover text.

Step-by-Step

Finding the icons

1. To change the Payment Option, License or Publishing Model icons and texts of your Public Journal Search Page first of all click on Branding either on the Main Dashboard or from the sidebar.
2. You will now arrive at the Branding page where you can make your customisations. Click on the Icons tab
3. Here you will see the list of Payment Options, Licenses and Publishing Models available. 
   

4. Search for an icon by using the search bar at the top. Alternatively, use the sorting option on type to organise the order of the icons type
   

    

Uploading icon

1.  Find the icon you wish to change then click on Upload and select the file
   

2. The icon has now been uploaded, but make sure to click Save at the top of the page to confirm the changes

   

3. Reset icon to default - if you want to return to the default icon click the Reset button on the icon row.
   

Changing icon description

1. You can change the text displayed to your researchers when hovering on the icon by updating the icon description. To do this find the icon description you want to change and click on the text box next to the icon under description. Here you type in the text you would like to be displayed. Please keep to under 150 characters.
   
2. Reset icon description to default - if you want to return to the default text for the icon you can remove all text from the description and click save. The default text will then populate the field.
   
3. Once you have made your changes make sure to click Save at the top of the page
