Update 240611: Note the widget code was updated June 11th 2024. The previous widget codes from JST 3.0 are still compatible. Read more here.
-------
To get the most out of your search and reduce the number of clicks before a researcher finds the information they are looking for you can embed a search box into you page and also add links to imprints and publisher names on your website that will start the search already.
Embed Search
If you would like to embed your JST search into your webpage you can do this by using the code snippet found within the JST admin.
- First of all go to the Branding page either from the Main Dashboard or from the Side Menu
- On the General tab scroll down to Widget.
- Here you will find a preview of the Widget as well as the code snippet. Click Copy Code and then paste into your webpage
Parameter Search URL
1. If you would like to create a direct search URL, e.g. to search for a specific imprint, you can do this by using the Parameter Search URL. The Parameter Search URL will look something like:
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term=
2. For terms with more than one word "+" needs to be encoded in the URL with "%2B"
Example:
Specific Journal
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term=journal%2Bof%2Bbiology
Keyword
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term=microbiology
Imprint
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term=imprint:Oxford%2BUniversity%2BPress
3. You can also use quote marks " " to hold search phrases together. Examples:
Specific Journal
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term="journal%2Bof%2Bbiology"
Keyword
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term="information%2Bsystems"
Imprint
https://search.scifree.se/[UNIVERISTY]?term=imprint:"Oxford%2BUniversity%2BPress"
