In the JST tool you can choose to download/export a list of journals from JST in two ways
Export individual agreement lists
You can export individual agreement lists as a Excel (.xlsx) file from within your agreement. This is useful if you want to make changes to a list and then re-upload.
- Go to Agreements
- Click on the Agreement you want to export the list for
- Scroll down to the Uploaded Journals section
- Click on Export
- A Excel file will be downloaded.
In the exported file you will see the following information:
- Journal Title
- Imprint
- ISSN Electronic
- ISSN Print
- Payment Option
- License Options
- Publishing Model
- Subjects
- Journal URL
- Extra information (Note this cannot be imported via the Excel)
Download list of all journals in JST
In your JST tool you can choose to download a full list of the journals within your tool. To do this click on Download Journals from the Side Menu. A TSV file with all your journal data will then be downloaded.
Please note: The file will be downloaded as a TSV file as it is a large dataset. This can require configuration to ensure that the file is showing correctly, usually this needs to be done when using Excel on a Windows machine. This is to prevent unusual characters being shown within text fields.
In the downloaded file you will see the following information:
- Journal Title
- Journal URL
- ISSN Electronic
- ISSN Print
- Imprint
- License Options
- Publishing Model
- Subject areas
- Payment Option
- Payment Option Link
- Start and End date
How to format the TSV file in Excel
- Open a Blank workbook in Excel
- Go to Data tab
- Click on Get Data
- From File -> From Text/CSV
- Change Text files to All files
- Select the Export File and click Import
- Make sure that the File Origin is set to Unicode (UTF-8) and Delimiter is Tab
- Click Load at the bottom of the Window
- Save File
